Rolling Stone journalist and Oscar-winning director Cameron Crowe, known for Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire, and Say Anything, will embark on a seven-city U.S. book tour this fall to promote his upcoming memoir, The Uncool, which will be released on October 28. The tour, featuring “intimate evenings of storytelling, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and the music that shaped his life,” kicks off in New York City on October 28, followed by stops in Washington, D.C., Nashville, Chicago, San Diego, Seattle, and Los Angeles, before concluding in San Francisco on November 23. Special guests will join Crowe at each event, including Sheryl Crow in Nashville, Kate Hudson (who famously starred as Penny Lane in Almost Famous) in San Diego, and Jake Tapper in Washington, D.C., with more to be announced. Crowe says of the tour, “I can’t wait to share those intimate stories and evenings with the audiences who’ve followed my work over the years.” Presale begins Thursday (September 18), with general on-sales starting on Friday (September 19).
