The Irish rock group has announced its first six concerts under the tour name Carnaval De Luz Presents: The Greatest Show On Earth. The opening performance is scheduled for February 23, 2027, in Mexico City, followed by additional shows in São Paulo and Buenos Aires.

Beck will join U2 as the opening act for the initial Latin American dates. More concerts are expected to be announced for Europe and North America, including possible performances in Ireland.

The tour will support U2’s 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026. The band has also introduced a new single, The Greatest Show On Earth, co-written with longtime collaborator Brian Eno.

The upcoming concerts will mark U2’s first stadium performances since 2019, bringing the band back to large outdoor venues after several years away from traditional stadium touring.

The expanded release follows Foreign Tongues, which debuted July 10, 2026. The new collection features material recorded during the album sessions, including Where There’s a Will, Who You Callin’ Crazy, Human Tide, Bad Luck Hideaway, and She Still Comes Around.

Among the highlights, Bad Luck Hideaway features shared vocals from Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, alongside drumming by Charlie Watts. The song previously appeared as an exclusive digital bonus track. Meanwhile, Who You Callin’ Crazy features jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine and is scheduled for digital release on October 20.

The deluxe edition will be available digitally, as a two-CD package, and on special red vinyl accompanied by the original album on CD.

The release continues the band’s recent recording activity following their 2023 album Hackney Diamonds. The original Foreign Tongues reached No. 1 in 14 countries.

During an appearance on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, the legendary musician explained that filmmakers often make Lennon appear significantly taller than he was, even though the two were approximately the same height.

McCartney pointed to the 2009 film Nowhere Boy, which explored Lennon’s early life. He recalled being frustrated by the noticeable height difference between the actors portraying the two musicians.
