Byrds-Era David Crosby Memorabilia Being Auctioned Off
2:37PM Monday
March 4, 2013

A handful of interesting items belonging to David Crosby are currently up for bid via the Nate D. Sanders auction house in Los Angeles.  Among the collectibles on the block are a Gibson ES-335 electric guitar that the singer/songwriter played during the 1960s while he was a member of The Byrds and a cape that he frequently wore during his tenure with the influential folk-rock group.

Also being auctioned are two paintings by famed psychedelic-era artist Peter Max.  One piece, which depicts a colorful silhouette of a Grammy trophy, was presented to Crosby in 1991, when he was honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year.  The other painting is a mixed-media work that features a photograph of Crosby decorated with a rainbow of oil paints.

Bidding on the all of the items closes at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.  Each piece of memorabilia will come with a letter of authenticity from Crosby.  Visit NateDSanders.com to find out more details about the sale.
