Oakland Raiders-general manager-Reggie McKenzie-and head coach-Dennis Allen-made it through the first week 2013 NFL Free Agency-without making any major moves on the open market, but did manage to strengthen the struggling pass rush.
Former Chicago Bears outside linebacker Nick Roach signed a multi-year contract with compensation ranging from $3 to $4 million per season, the team announced Friday morning. -Roach comes off a career year, racking up-66 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 4 passes deflected and one forced fumble in 2012. -He also collected 15 tackles against the Arizona Cardinals near the end of the season and could replace Rolando McClain.
Kevin Burnett, another free agent linebacker who was recently recently by the Miami Dolphins, was also added to the Raiders' new linebacker corps on Sunday. -The 6-3, 240-pound inside linebacker has appeared in 120 contests (59 starts) and totaled 523 tackles with 17.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and four interceptions (returned for 104 yards and t...
